They will be in the lookout for an Indian opener to partner KL Rahul and also an overseas all-rounder who is a capable finisher.

With Mitchell Starc and T Natarajan in their ranks, the only hole they need to plug in their seam attack is to buy an Indian pacer. They also might go for Jonny Bairstow but will face stiff competition from the Kolkata Knight Riders who will also be on the lookout for a wicketkeeper-batter. If DC doesn’t get him, they might go Tim Seifert or Jamie Smith. The only department that they look totally assured is the spin bowling department with Kuldeep Yadav and captain Axar Patel leading the way.
