IPL 2026 RR Retained and Released Players List:Rajasthan Royals have set themselves up for major player movements through trade deals ahead of the IPL 2026 Retention deadline, starting with a massive decision to trade their captain of many years, Sanju Samson, to the Chennai Super Kings.
In return, the inaugural champions brought back their old hero, rockstar Ravindra Jadeja, at Rs 14 crore, while also adding seam all-rounder Sam Curran at Rs 2.4 crore as part of the Samson deal.
The Royals also secured a huge steal deal in securing the services of South African hard-hitter Donovan Ferreira from the Delhi Capitals for INR 1 crore in exchange for Nitish Rana, who moved to the capital for Rs 4.2 crore. Last season, RR retained Samson, Yashasvi Jaiswal, Riyan Parag, Dhruv Jurel, Shimron Hetmyer and Sandeep Sharma ahead of the IPL 2025 Mega Auctions.
