IPL Auction 2026: Which 20 players are in first three sets of mini-auction in Abu Dhabi today? | Cricket News

The 2026 Indian Premier League (IPL) mini-auction is slated to begin at 2:30 PM IST at the Etihad Arena in Abu Dhabi in the United Arab Emirates on Tuesday.

The IPL organising committee had previously unveiled a short-listed roster from over a 1,000 players, trimmed down to 350. The list comprised of 240 Indian players and a 110 overseas stars, with 238 of them being uncapped players. Among them 14 uncapped players were overseas cricketers.

However, it was revealed on Tuesday morning that the BCCI had approved of the addition of 19 more players into the auction player list, raising the overall tally to 369 with the addition of 19 more cricketers – including five overseas players, one associate nation cricketer from Malaysia and 13 uncapped Indian stars.

A maximum of 77 slots are now available with up to 31 being slotted for overseas players. Despite the inclusions, only the first 70 players across 10 different player sets will be called out manually by the auctioneer, following the accelerated auction process will begin.

Though there are no marquee sets in the auction, there will be plenty of nervous energy and excitment in the auction hall when the first three sets of players are called out in the action. A major share of the top international and capped Indian stars belong to the three first three sets that enlist batters, all-rounders and wicket-keepers.

There will be keen eyes on Australia all-rounder Cameron Green, England’s Liam Livingstone, Quinton de Kock and India batters such as Prithvi Shaw and Sarfaraz Khan who are seeking a return to the IPL limelight.
