Since the inception of the showpiece event in 2023, this is the first Mega Auction being held. 277 players have registered for the event, of which 194 are Indians, and 83 are overseas, leaving just 73 slots available.
Hence, this is the first Mega Auction, and teams are allowed only five players to be retained, which means all the teams have to rebuild most of their squad yet again. Deepti Sharma, Renuka Singh, Sophie Devine, Amelia Kerr, Sophie Ecclestone, Alyssa Healy, Meg Lanning, and Laura Wolvaardt are some of the marquee players available in today’s auction.

Teams have need to have at least 15 members in the squad, and the maximum number that can be allowed is 18. Teams can also use five Right To Match cards, depending on the retentions they have made, and the ones with lesser retentions will get more Right To Match options through the evening.
